Anticholinergics (atropine, diphen-hydramine, tricyclic antidepressants): Additive anticholinergic effects. Monitor child closely.
Antihypertensives: Additive hypotensive effects (most common with LV. procainamide). Monitor blood pressure.
Cholinergics (neostigmine, pyridostigmine, which are used to treat myasthenia gravis):May negate effects of these drugs. Increase dosage.
Cimetidine: Impaired renal clearance of pro-cainamide and NAPA, with elevated serum drug levels. Adjust dose it used together.
Neuromuscular blockers (such as decametho-nium bromide, gallium triethiodide, metocurine iodide, pancuronium bromide, succinycholine chloride, tubocurarine chloride): Potentiated ef-fects of neuromuscular blockers. Monitor child closely.
Other antiarrhythmics: Additive or antagonistic cardiac effects; possible additive toxic effects. Monitor child for toxicity. |
